This Torah portion (parashah) begins a new book–Bamidbar (Numbers) 1:1-4:20. The foundation of this book is the counting of the nation of Israel as commanded by Hashem to Moshe and Aharon.

But this parashah comes to teach us much more than about the counting. It is also about how to discover for yourself, today, your mission that Hashem has for you in this life.
